JUNIOR SCHOOL TO PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

GAMTA’s Junior School classes are fantastic preparation for those who may wish to take their training a step further. Many of our Junior School students  go on to join the full time BA Hons course with a view to pursuing a full time career in musical theatre.

Here are just a few who have made the transition from Junior School to professional training…

Robbie Warke

Robbie’s Career started in his teens where he performed in London’s westend hit ‘Matilda the Musical’ as the brave Bruce Bogtrotter. He is now thriving in his second year of GAMTA’s professional training course.

Holly Adams

This talented triple threat performer has been one of the family since she was just 5years old. Holly is excelling in her work and flourishing in her second year of her training.

Gemma Elmes

Gemma is one of our graduating students this year. Her hard work, dedication and determination throughout her years of GAMTA training will culminate in a Graduate Showcase in London’s illustrious west end.

Stephen Raby

We are delighted the Stephen has decided to complete his further training with us. Now in his second year he is going from stength to strength, developing as an all rounded performer.

Gayle Telfer Stevens

From GAMTA’s Junior School Gayle moved on to study a Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Lisa Mathieson

After growing up in GAMTA’s Junior School, Lisa moved on to study at Arts Educational School. Since then her career has blossomed, performing in London’s westend in hits like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Spamalot, Love Never Dies and Groundhog Day.

George Ure

George studied at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts after beginnning his training in GAMTA’s Junior School. He then went on to perform in hits including Wicked.

Millie Innes

Millie McDonald trained with the GAMTA Junior School for several years and is now represented by The Colours Agency.
Best known for playing lead role Millie McDonald in hit kid’s comedy sitcom Millie Inbetween. She’s been David Tennant’s youngest daughter in BBC drama Single Father, Maisy in sitcom Dani’s House starring in over 20 episodes of the popular CBBC series, Jason Issacs sidekick and daughter Marlee Brodie in 2 series of crime drama hit Case Histories.

Alicia Corrales Connor

Now in her second year of GAMTA’s professional musical theatre training, Alicia is excelling in many aspects of the course. She progressed to the full time course from many years of hard work in The Junior School.

Niall Curran

Niall is one of our graduating students this year. With his powerful voice and strong look we are sure he is ready to start a long career. Having been with us for over 14 years we are excited to see how his career evolves.

Erin Carter

GAMTA graduate Erin Carter is a Glasgow writer and theatre maker. Following a decade working as a performer, and with the support of the young writers programs at The Royal Court Erin began a successful writing career. Erin’s plays include Craven Choke Puppies, The Cost of Living, The Philosphers and theatre shorts; Prophesy  which was produced at The Public Theatre New York, SimpleTruth at Theatre503,and Three is Company and The Shed for the Kings Head Theatre. Erin’s original film commission Gold, a political sports drama, is being developed with Steeley Eyed Films and she has recently contributed to CBeebies series; Tea Cup Travels. Erin continues to create work in collaboration with other artists and is a theatre lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Brian O’Sullivan

Brian furthered his training at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His profssional Actor and Musician career includes The James Plays with National Theatre of Scotland. Last year he joined GAMTA’s Graduate company with a production at the Edinburgh Fringe – ‘Part of the Picture’.

Jacqui graduated from GAMTA in 2003 and then went onto continue her studies at GSA.   Jacqui is currently playing the role of Elphaba in the World Tour of WICKED.

Aidan McColl

Aidan trained at GAMTA’s Junior school until 2013 when he then continued his training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. After only recently graduating Aidan joined the cast of Snow White in Eden Court Theatre.

Chiara Sparkes 

Chiara was part of Junior School at GAMTA for many years, she will graduate from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA (hons) in Muscial Theatre later this year.

Danielle Fyamania

For many years Danielle was a dedicated student within The Junior School, she has since moved down to London to further her Studies at Guilford School of Acting.

Alex Fulton

GAMTA trained Alex in the Junior School from a very young age, in 2016 she moved south and is now continuing her training at Urdang Academy.

Matt Mckenna

Matt has enjoyed a busy and varied career since graduating that has seen him perform in some of the world’s biggest shows and in some of the world’s greatest theatres! Matt joined the UK Tour of LOVE ME TENDER where he understudied and played the lead and went to Paris to appear in the classic musical SINGING IN THE RAIN. Matt recently appeared in the new ENO production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical SUNSET BOULEVARD. Previous roles include Riff Raff in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (European Tour), Raoul in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Her Majestys London), Gallileo and Britney in WE WILL ROCK YOU (Dominion Theatre London & Cologne), and Elektra in STARLIGHT EXPRESS (Bochum Germany).

Nyah Anderson

Following several years with the Junior School, Nyah is now on the full time BA (hons) Musical Theatre Training course.
