Weather update from GAMTA
December 8, 2010
Update at 2pm Wed 8th DEC

GAMTA aim to return to (as near) normality as possible as of THURSDAY 9th DEC.  Starfactory 5 are called for 11am on THU 9th with a show that evening at 7pm.  Starfactory 5 will also have a NEW performance on SATURDAY 11th DEC at 4.30pm and should attend 2 hours prior to that show.  Tickets for the cancelled performances are automatically valid for the new 4.30 show - provided you have not already received a refund or reallocation - we have a detailed record of contact with patrons regarding tickets.

Further NEW shows have been added into the Schedule for Pre-Elementary & Starfactory 6.   These are SATURDAY 18th DEC at 4.30pm for Pre-Elementary and SUNDAY 19th DEC at 8pm for Starfactory 6.  In both cases students should attend from 2 hours prior to the performance time.

This has been an extremely difficult time for all concerned, not least for GAMTA staff who are dealing with daily show cancellations, calling ticket patrons, refunds, reallocations and rescheduling of performances in what has been a situation the likes of which we have not encountered in 17 years of producing our Christmas show.

Thank you all for your patience and hopefully (fingers crossed) we can return to some sense of normality.

GAMTA Closure - WED 8th DEC
December 7, 2010
Information re classes, performances & auditions

Following the decision to close all central belt schools, and forecast of plummeting temperatures, GAMTA has decided at 11.30pm on Tues 7th DEC to CLOSE on WED 8th DEC.  The 7pm performance of McSCROOGE on Wed 8th DEC is CANCELLED.  All classes, rehearsals and auditions on WED 8th DEC are CANCELLED.

We are working on a revised performance schedule tomorrow (Wed 8th DEC) and will issue this late on Wed 8th DEC via Parent & Student Login sections and also Facebook.  We are looking to reschedule cancelled performances this weekend and also the following.

Patrons who have booked for the cancelled shows will have tickets reallocated to a show of their choice - and if no alternative is available, tickets will be refunded.  However, if a performance goes ahead and a patron is unable to attend - as with all theatre box office policies, tickets will not be refunded in this instance.

A polite reminder to parents - should you have individual queries and concerns about any issues the correct forum to raise these issues is to contact the office.   If we are unavailable (due to the same problems that EVERYONE else is having) - leave a message or for a prompt reply EMAIL   Forums such as Facebook are not the place to complain or air personal issues and concerns and patrons who abuse this facility in this manner will be permanently deleted from the page.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time and apologies for the invconvience caused but the situation is extremely unusual and unprecendented.   There is no-one more unhappy about having to cancel shows than the hard working team at GAMTA who have worked so hard to create such a great production to feature all of our students.
