The Preparatory Musical Theatre Course - Tuesday 5.30-9pm Sunday 4.30-7.30pm
The Preparatory Musical Theatre Course is intended for children in P2 - S5 who are interested in a career in Musical Theatre and who may wish to progress to the Elementary or Part-time MT Schools

Students are continually assessed within their class however, formal assessments take place in the Spring with the issuing of a report and the opportunity for parents to discuss the progress of their child with staff. If a student is recommended for upgrade to the next level of class, this would normally take place at an appropriate point within the academic year as identified by the Tutors. Alternatively, staff may feel that the student would benefit from continued training at the same level. Each child's progress is monitored on an individual basis.

The Associate School takes place on Tuesdays from 5.30-9.00pm and Sundays from 1.00-4.00pm, totalling 6.5 hours per week.

Preparatory students follow a comprehensive program including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acting Skills and Ensemble Singing.

Performing is an important element of the courses at GAMTA. Students of the Preparatory Course appear in our Christmas Musical and a Summer Production at GAMTA.

Audition / Entry requirements
Students may audition for the Associate School if they are entering P2 - S5. Initial selection is via an Open Day. We look for an enthusiasm and interest in each student and strength in one of the three core skills - singing, acting or dance.
